It was nice to work on a brand new log home during construction before any windows and doors were in. This particular log home was a Koski Log Home out of the Upper Peninsula. We used all Perma-Chink products for preserving, sealing, and finishing this log home. We sanded the log home before any borate log preservatives, stain, or caulking were applied. Here are some pictures of before and after sanding.

We applied Shell Guard RTU glycol based borate preservative in a 2 coat application when the logs were dry after washing the home with Log Wash. We applied Perma Chink Lifeline Ultra II - Autumn Gold stain and applied the Lifeline Advance - Satin clear coat in a 2 coat process. The caulking we applied was Energy Seal - Natural Pine. We always apply our products so that they fall into the manufacturers warranty. Perma Chink offers a 5 year warranty on their products only if they are applied properly. You can be guaranteed that your warranty will be valid only by having a qualified professional finish your log home.
