About IWR Company
IWR Co. was established in 1989 by Michael Gene Denman a native of Munising, Michigan. His first experience with a log home was in 1975 when he and his father (Robert) built a log cabin right outside of Munising. After graduating high school in 1978 Mike went on to owning a logging operation until 1989.

This built his knowledge of wood (characteristics, grades) that he and his son use in the log home industry today. In 1989 an opportunity arose allowing Mike to build some log cabins. While building cabins he took a better interest in log home restoration and log home maintenance, feeling that this should be learned first. Since then IWR has come a long way in critically developing its skills and expertise in the log home industry.

Mike says he has been blessed with the opportunity to have his family work alongside him. Without this business opportunity he feels he could have missed out on many great experiences. Mikes son will also be graduating from Central Michigan University by next year and has decided to come back and become a part owner which thrills me. Since 2004, IWR also began seasonally employing college students to do our part in supporting higher education.
